Musical Instruments- Part 1, Trombone

Hi everyone, this is Hyeyoon PARK. I majored in musical instruments when I was in high school, so I am going to share information about various kinds of instruments. Did you know that there are so many different types of instruments in the world? Dividing the instruments into three main categories, there are wind instruments, string instruments, and percussion instruments. The difference between these instruments is different in how they are played. Wind instruments are mainly played by blowing with the mouth. Next, string instruments usually play strings with bows. Finally, percussion instruments include instruments such as bouncing strings or drumming.

The instrument I will introduce today is Trombone, the brass instrument among wind instruments. It's a grand and low-pitched instrument. The trombone is largely divided into the Tenor trombone and the Bass trombone. The two have different pitch ranges and differences in appearance. There is one more tube on the Base trombone.

This is a picture of the trombone that I used to play. As you can see, the trombone is very long. In my opinion, the trombone is a very attractive instrument. The reason why I like its sound is that even though it can play very big sounds but also the sound is very soft and calm. I will share my favorite trombone concerto.

Did you enjoy his playing? I hope you guys liked the sound of the trombone.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

  1. Hi. First of all, I enjoyed reading your blog. I don't know much about musical instruments. In particular, I have never played the wind instrument you wrote on your blog. I was surprised at the fact that the trombone was divided into tenor trombone and bass trombone, and the difference in pitch and appearance between the two. I became curious about which of the two instruments was harder to play. Thank you for sharing good information!
